Please send in homemade cookies and sweets for our teachers and staff on Friday, December 10th for the holiday season.  We will collect your baked treats in our car rider line that morning or you may leave them in the front office at MIS...or bring them with you to the PTO meeting that morning.  We appreciate your help and thanks so much in advance for your generosity.

OPEN HOUSE VOLUNTEER NEEDS:

1:30 pm -- Set-up in the Cafeteria (Silent Auction and Food Areas)

5:00 - 6:30 p.m. --  Working the Silent Auction and serving pizza & tea 

6:30 - 8:00 p.m. --  Working the Silent Auction, serving pizza & tea, and Clean-Up

Open House & Silent Auction

MONTGOMERY INTERMEDIATE

OPEN HOUSE & SILENT AUCTION
Thursday, September 16 (6:00 - 7:30 p.m.)

Each class will participate in making a class theme basket that will be auctioned off at the Silent Auction during Open House on September 16, 2010.  A note was sent home last week from your child's teacher notifying you of your class basket theme.

Please send an item related to the theme of your classroom basket.  If you would prefer to send cash for a parent volunteer from your class to purchase items for the basket, this is also an option.  All items collected will be put together in a decorative basket and sold in our silent auction at Open House.

We are asking all items or monetary donations to be turned in to your teacher by Monday, September 13th.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email wcfincher@consolidated.net.

Welcome to MIS PTO!

PTO MEETINGS - Our first PTO meeting was held this week and we covered many exciting events that will take place at MIS in the upcoming months.  Thank you to all who were in attendance.  You are invited to attend our monthly PTO meetings. Please visit our calendar on the website for monthly dates and times. 

SCHOOL STORE OPENS THIS WEEK - At MIS, students have the opportunity to shop in the School Store for items each Friday from 7:45 - 8:25 a.m.  The Store School will be open for it's first day of business on Friday, September 3rd.

GRANDPARENTS DAY AT MIS - Look for a flyer coming home with information about Grandparents Day at MIS.  All grandparents are invited to attend this special event at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10th. 

OPEN HOUSE & SILENT AUCTION - Thursday, September 16 (6 - 7:30 p.m.)  Plan to attend Open House at MIS to visit your child's classroom and also to participate in the Silent Auction.  Papa John's Pizza by the Slice will available for you to purchase.  Each team of classes will be putting together a basket to be included in the Silent Auction.  Look for information to come home from your child's teacher. 

VOLUNTEER FAIR - Friday 9/24/2010 9:00 a.m. -  Are you interested in volunteering at MIS?  Whether you are able to commit big or small, we'd love to have you.  There are so many great activities and events at MIS, and we need volunteers to help make these possible.  Come to the Volunteer Fair for information.

SHOPPING EXTRAVAGANZA Saturday, October 23 - Our PTO fundraiser will be the 2nd Annual Shopping Extravaganza to be held at the KOA.  Visit our website for more information.  If you are interested in becoming a vendor at the event, please let us know ASAP. 

BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION - We are collecting Boxtops to raise funds to purchase 150 new books for our library from the Class of 2018.  Each book costs approximately 150 boxtops.  Please helps us reach our goal by collecting boxtops and sending them to school with your child.
